Gijs started making videos when he first got his hands on a video camera during his study at the Design Academy in Eindhoven the Netherlands. In the beginning the intention was to make video clips with his own music, which later developed into a VJ’ing on dutch acid like party’s.. Later he came to work on a project together with M.Verbiesen where they combined 8bit style graphics with new vector style graphic/animation software, creating huge fake pixels in a cheap and durty way.
At the same time Gijs developed skills in gameboy camera animations, for use with his own live show and for VJ’ing with other people. Hence the result you will see on Plektrum.
