This performance will be a 45 minute live sound and visual experience that brings together the elements of electroacoustic music/soundscapes/noise, video, computer generated images, interactivity, and computer software. A dynamic and free flowing live performance environment is created where the sound and images feed off of each other. The result is a gritty hands-on kind of media experience where through the spirit of collaboration the performers create a new space clearly expressing their artistic sensibilities.

aDemod is a newly created collective of Edmonton, Canada based sound and multimedia artists exploring the juncture between sound, film, video, interactivity and performance. For this event the personnel will be Shawn Pinchbeck - live electroacoustic creations; and Kelley Bolen - VJ.

Kelley Bolen
kelleY boleN’s newest obsession, video jamming, has seen her performing in 2005 and 2006 in her home town at many venues and across Western Canada and U.S. both as the sole provider of visuals as well as in collaboration with music, film and video artists. Before her foray into jamming, she worked primarily on stop-motion films of which she has completed one short called “/handled/” and is currently working on her second. 

Shawn Pinchbeck 
Shawn Pinchbeck is a Tallinn, Estonia and Edmonton, Canada based electroacoustic composer, performer, installation artist, and curator. For more than 20 years, his various solo and collaborative works have explored sound as a creative medium; often incorporating multimedia elements, computer interactivity, and multichannel sound. Shawn holds a Master of Music Degree from the University of Birmingham, U.K. He is a Lecturer of Sound Design at the Baltic Film and Media School.
