Huoratron is a musical project of one man, Aku Raski, 8-bit composer, producer and artist. Huoratron makes sounds with two hand-held Nintendo Gameboy consoles that are modified by different algorithms and buttons to create distorted and rough sounds with heavy bass - not the usual feature of Nintendo Gameboys. Using these nearly obsolete pieces of 80’s gaming technology, and turning them into full-fledged electronic music composing tools, is the main ingredient behind Huoratron’s unique raw sound. Not to mention his wild live performances where his 8-bit landscapes meet explosive visuals. Huoratron has enjoyed keen interest from the media and has been widely noticed in numerous publications, both in Finland and abroad. With his powerful live Raski has done multiple tours in USA, Russia, Sweden, Norway and Estonia.
