With roots in both catchy and extreme music and an unhealthy obsession with errors and variation, Goto80 delivers eclectic chip music with a twist. During more than 10 years Goto80 has been hailed both in the underground computer art scene as well as pop and club stages around the world, with some 70 gigs in 15 countries. Basing his music on the 8-bit sounds, he seamlessly blends styles ranging from soothing ambience to furious breakcore. Goto80 is Anders Carlsson, born 1981 in Sweden, who spent his youth as a lo-tech purist in the demoscene - a subculture of creative computer nerds. Here he learned the secrets of the sound chips in Commodore 64, Amiga and Gameboy and by the end of the 1990’s he was collaborating with the biggest groups in the demoscene. Doing steps in decadence and electronica, moving around the world, he returned to homeland in 2004 and a year later released his first album „Commodore Grooves“
